Biography

Andrey Machnev is a research scientist in the Department of Intelligent Systems Engineering at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University, Bloomington. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University, where his research spanned multiple multidisciplinary fields, including optics, bioimaging, and biochemistry. His work has been published in several prestigious journals, such as Advanced Materials, Advanced Photonics Research, and Nano Letters. Currently, Andrey's research focuses on fiber optics and its applications. At the FAMES Lab, he is involved in fiber drawing and characterization.
