The Fibers and Additive Manufacturing Enabled Systems Laboratory
Established in 2016 by Professor Alexander Gumennik, the FAMES Lab is dedicated to developing techniques for embedding smart nano-devices into textiles, with the aim of engineering new flexible electronics and biosynthetic systems that will further the fields of pervasive web systems, fluid dynamics, recursive manufacturing, and tissue engineering. Our facilities include over 50 different equipment items to enable its development.
