Biography

Background

Wesley Oliver was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. He left for West Lafayette, Indiana, to attend Purdue University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in December 2021. During his time at Purdue, he performed computational and experimental research on particle adhesion, specifically van der Waals interactions. He also had internships with ExxonMobil as a facilities engineer and The J.R. Simplot Company as a process R&D engineer.
In the fall, Wesley will attend a Ph.D. program in Chemical Engineering focusing on artificial intelligence and machine learning applications to chemical engineering. The opportunity to work as a technical assistant in the FAMES lab has allowed him to continue researching and gain exposure into new fields
