Biography

Eilam started his post-doc researcher at the FAMES Lab in April 2022. He studies utilizing polymer fiber as sensors, 3D printing of glass and its application, and wishes to expend into semiconductor devices in fibers. He was born and raised in Ramat Gan, Israel. Eilam holds a Master of Science in Applied Physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he studied electrostriction in crystals. He also earned a PhD in Physics from the Weizmann Institute, where he studied applications of chiral molecules on semiconductor devices. In addition, he worked as an associate researcher in the 2D electronics lab in Bar Ilan University, researching 2D LEDs and applications of graphene in electronics. Eilam then left the FAMES Lab to return back to the Weizmann Institute to pursue further research in material science.
