Camila Faccini de Lima is originally from Porto Alegre, Brazil. She graduated from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, Brazil) in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Physics and received a Master's degree in Experimental Physics by the same university in 2017. She has dedicated herself to semiconductor transport properties and more recently to solar cell characterization.
Her previous research experiences include projects on Exchange bias properties in antiferromagnetic thin films and 3rd generation dye-sensitized solar cell characterization using Electron Beam-Induced Current (EBIC) at UFRGS, and Non-linear mechanical response in polymer thin films at Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices (CRANN) in Dublin, Ireland.
Camila is now a Ph.D. student in Intelligent Systems Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington, specializing in nanoscale engineering. She worked as a research assistant at the FAMES Lab in quantum sensors and fiber embedded devices for pervasive sensing and imaging, and has since transitioned to more theoretical work in nanoscale engineering computation.
